It is my first time to blog on tumblr and in true “me” fashion, I’ll start off with a bit about myself. I’m Jude, I am a girl and I am absolutely in love with Joe Jonas and the Jonas Brothers. I love reading and collect Nicholas Sparks novels, simply because his words touch my heart and I wish every 17 year old boy was just like him. Anyway, that’s about it, seeing as I don’t want too many stalkers following my page LOL.

Well, its the time of Lent and we all gotta give up something right? Well, despite my stupid addiction to the internet and all the social networking shebang, I decided to give up Facebook! Yes, I know; facebook is the epitome of all communication and a wonderful way to get in touch with the opposite gender (i know, i refrain from saying the “S” word). For the first three days, I was confident of giving up my Facebook use and went alright without it.

Now, I’m going insane ! Omg, everywhere, all my friends talk about facebook; “Upload the pics on facebook, okay?” and I’m like “I can’t, I gave it up!!” Now, I feel like I cut off all ties with everyone! I regularly check up on comments and all through hotmail :). Thank goodness for that!

I’ve come close to giving up on giving up Facebook, to put it in that distorted sense. Sigh, I watch my parents go on (yes, facebook fever has infected my mum and dad) to catch up with high school chums and I’m so tempted. I begged my mum to let me go on but she refused, being aware of my lent resolution.

Despite all this, I’m actually coping pretty good without all the shebangs of Facebook. Well, alright, I struggle a bit but its kind of refreshing not having your life based primarily on getting a notification from a random hottie or updating your status on “just about everything you do” as my mum put it. I find other things to do, like read the latest Nicholas Sparks book: Dear John.

Omg, I love it! John’s obvious love and commitment to Savannah is so beautiful and touching; something every teenage girl wants. I’m nearly finished; despite the beauty and passion in their love, everything doesn’t end well between the two. Sad endings always get to me; my heart always drops when I read those. Again, I take my hat off to Nicholas Sparks, well done!

This weekend, I’m off to catch up with my best friends :). One of them is having a birthday party this saturday and I’m off to watch Valentine’s Day with them =). Its going to be great ! I’m looking forward to watching Taylor Lautner ! LOL, strangely enough, I’m not as in love with him as millions of girls around the world are.. thank goodness for that; Joe Jonas has already stolen my heart.
